PLEASANT VALLEY – Lois Collier, 83, a lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. When God saw how sick she had become, He reached down His hands and brought her home to Heaven to her beloved husband Tom. Thomas Joseph Collier passed away on June 16, 2011 and now they have been reunited and are together forever.
Born in the Town of Wappinger on June 23, 1930, she was the daughter of Cushman and Helen Cornell Harden. Lois had been a majorette in the Wappingers Falls Drum Corps and was employed at the Fargo Manufacturing Plant in Poughkeepsie for 30 years.
Lois is survived by her daughter Beverly Bellizzi and her husband Peter of Highland; her daughter Toni Schene of Kansas; her grandsons, Shawn and Peter Bellizzi; and her great-grandson Marshall Bellizzi. Lois will be greatly missed by her family.
There will be no services at this time. Spring interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
