Lois Carol Gensler, 81, a two year resident of Wappingers Falls, NY and formerly of Roxbury, CT, Barnstable, MA, Westfield, MA and Simsbury, CT, died on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Born in Waterbury, CT on March 13, 1930, she was the daughter of George Edward and Katherine Scott Leaman. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Noble Hospital in Westfield, and she enjoyed gardening, painting and reading.
Lois was predeceased by her husband, Carlton Kenneth Gensler, in 1996; and her sons, Paul Edward Gensler in 1989 and Kenneth Charles Gensler in 2009.
She is survived by her children, Karl Gensler and his wife Marilyn of Staten Island, NY, Stewart Gensler of Barkhamsted, CT and Ellen Pearson and her husband Bruce of Wappingers Falls, NY; her daughter-in-law, Joanne Gensler of Wellfleet, MA; her sister, Joyce and her husband Floyd Gensler of Middlebury, CT; her brother, George Leaman and his wife Trudy of Cheshire, CT; her grandchildren, Erik, Kirsten, Erica, Katherine, Benjamin, Paul, Samuel, Correnda and Sarah; a great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
