Obituary

Loren E. Pinckney, 68, a resident of the Town of Union Vale for 30 years and formerly of Brewster, died on Saturday, January 2, 2016.

Born in Mahopac on October 24, 1947, he was the son of Ralph and Irmgard Emmert Pinckney. Loren proudly served our country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed engineer. For many years, Loren volunteered with the Union Vale Fire Department as both a firefighter and EMS.

Loren is survived by the love of his life, Catherine Speidell. Together they ran their horse farm in Union Vale. He is also survived by his sister, Leona Nemac; and his brother, Raymond Pinckney.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Firematic and military honors will be conducted at 7pm.
