Lorenzo A. Colagiovanni, 80, of Poughquag and formerly of Ossining for 56 years, died on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Wingate at Dutchess.

Born in Italy on April 25, 1934, Lorenzo was the son of Francesco and Angela Marie (Manochio) Colagiovanni. He served in the Italian Army before emigrating to the United States.

Lorenzo was a Forman for Local #279 out of Westchester County. He was a parishioner of St. Denis Church. An avid golfer, he enjoyed going to Mohansic Golf Course with his "Herd".

On January 5, 1958 at St. Ann's Church in Ossining, he married Maria N. Mastropietro, who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Frank Colagiovanni and his wife Elaine of Mahopac, Larry Colagiovanni and his wife Ann of Stillwater, MN, Linda Colagiovanni and her husband Kirk Randolph of Fairfax, VA, John Colagiovanni and his wife Lisa of Poughquag, and Angela Colagiovanni of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Mike, Dave and Andrea Colagiovanni, Sidney Randolph, Callie and Jared Garcia, Ben and Dean Colagiovanni, Shaun, Dylan and Mason Colagiovanni; his brothers, Antonio Colagiovanni and his wife Amelia and Mario Colagiovanni and his wife Angela; and many nieces and nephews. He was looking forward to meeting his first great-grandchild in May 2015. He was predeceased by his sister Rosina Colagiovanni, who died as an infant.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
