Loreta Marini, 101, of Poughquag, NY, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Italy on December 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Donato and Cesida (Cucci) Marini. Loreta immigrated to the United States at the age of 30 and has been a resident of the Poughquag area since 1960. She worked for many years as a sales representative for A&M Bakery in the Bronx, NY.

A devoted parishioner of St. Denis Church, Loreta enjoyed gardening, sewing, and completing word searches. She was deeply loved by her family and will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and strong spirit.

She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Anna Carino (Antonio), Lucio Cedrone (Diane), Anthony Marini (Linda), Maria Marini (Jimmy), Dina Mazzenga (Jimmy), and Armando Cullia, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews who adored her.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. Interment will take place afterward at St. Denis Cemetery.
