Lorna Brown's Obituary
Lorna Jean Brown, 57, a lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at her home.
Born in Poughkeepsie on January 27, 1955, she was the daughter of Russell Roland Gardner and Lena May Teater. Lorna had been employed as a nurse's aide for the Hyde Park Nursing Home and had also worked as a therapy aide for Wassaic State Hospital. She enjoyed reading.
On February 11, 1992, Lorna married George Franklin Brown, Sr. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Priscilla and Russell Brown; her brothers, Timothy Gardner and Luman Doxey; her sisters, Tammy Miller and Debbie Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be on Monday at 1pm at the Beekman Cemetery, 21 Church Street , Poughquag. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
Memorial donations may be made to the River Valley Care Center, 140 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
