Lorriane Kloiber, 59, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1975 and formerly of Yonkers, died on Monday, March 8, 2010 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 27, 1950 in Mount Vernon, she was the daughter of Helen Bantz Froatz of Ayden, NC and the late Vincent Froatz, Sr.  Lorraine loved being outdoors especially at the beach, and enjoyed swimming.  She loved all God's creatures especially dogs.

On May 18, 1974 at St. Eugene's Church in Yonkers, she married Walter J. Kloiber, Jr. who survives at home.  She is also survived by her children, Carolyn Healey and her husband Andrew of Clifton Park, Jeannette Lown and her husband Billy of Verbank and Timothy Kloiber of Wappingers Falls; her granddaughter, Morgan Healey; and her brother, Vincent Froatz, Jr. of Monroe Township, NJ.  She was predeceased by her sister, Nell Froatz.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
