Lou de Puthod, 91, died peacefully in her home December 29, 2015 surrounded by family.

Born October 23, 1924 in Texas, she was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. A. Perry Osborn of Garrison, NY. She graduated from Radcliff College in 1949. After studying at the Art Students League in NY, she met the love of her life, a Frenchman Pierre de Puthod (previously deceased). They lived in France for 15 years, raising two daughters. In 1968, they moved to Colorado where Lou was known as an accomplished artist in watercolor and pastel, and a member of the Arati Artists Gallery in Old Colorado City. Lou painted scenes from her many travels around the world, exhibiting at the National Arts Club in NY City. For the last 10 years of her life, she lived in Fishkill, NY.

She is survived by her brother, Clyde Osborn; daughters, Daisy de Puthod who is married to Gary Crispo and Marie Lou de Puthod-Rohyans who is married to Mark Rohyans; her grandchildren, Florence de Puthod Ware and Charlie de Puthod; her step grandchildren, Erica Laquidara and Brooke Wilson; many nieces and nephews; and great grandchildren, Michael Hood (16), Nastassia de Puthod (11), Hunter de Puthod (3), and a little girl that will be born this March.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 2nd from 1-3pm at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Rt. 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A Catholic prayer service will be held at 2:45pm in the funeral home Chapel. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO.
