CATSKILL - Louis Lloyd Bush, Jr., 59, a resident of Catskill since 2003, died suddenly at home on November 17, 2025. He previously lived in Millbrook.

Lou was born in Kingston on August 11, 1966. He had been employed as a field technician by Verizon for over 28 years.

A true master of fright and a "demon of light", Lou saw the beauty in the spooky and the fun in the fear, especially at Halloween. Lou was a lifelong, passionate snowmobiler and four-wheeler. He will always be remembered for being a family-oriented, devoted husband and father who was exceptionally hard-working. He carried a unique goofiness that could brighten any room and was always the life of the party.

On September 22, 2007, on Hunter Mountain, Lou married Jacqueline Diann (Callahan) Bush, who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Louis Bush III of Catskill; his parents, Louis Sr. and Lucinda (McMahon) Bush of Rosendale; his brother, Darren Bush of Freehold; his sister, Connie Smith of High Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, on Saturday, November 22nd, from 9:30-11:30 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at St. Denis Cemetery, 604 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.

Memorial donations may be made in Lou's name to Tunnel to Towers.
