Louis Coiro's Obituary
Louie Coiro, 81, a resident of Hopewell Junction, passed away on February 17, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.
Louie was born in S'Arsenio, Italy on March 29, 1937 to Arsenio and Maddelena Coiro.
On January 29, 1961 in Astoria, Queens, Louie married the love of his life, Catherine Torretto, who survives at home. He was also a loving father to Laura Schindler; father-in-law of Albert Schindler; brother of Antonetta Amoni of Arlington, VA, and Anthony Coiro of Smithtown L.I.; and proud Nonno of his grandchildren, Vincent and Sophia. Louie was predeceased by his daughter Yvonne Rosie on September 12, 2009 and his siblings, Mary Episcopo and Sisella Leopardi.
He was a skilled artisan plasterer who restored historic properties throughout New York City. He was a lover of God's creations, honest, hardworking, compassionate and an avid dog breeder and hunter.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, the 21st of February, at 11:30am at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Kingdom Hall, 383 All Angels Hill Road, Hopewell Junction.
