Louise Pascarella, 95, died on March 28, 2025 at the New York State Veterans Home at Montrose. She previously lived in Millbrook.
She was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. She was the youngest of 3 sisters in a family of seven children. She is the last of her family's generation. She had a happy childhood, while surviving the Great Depression and WWII. She graduated from P.S. 36 and worked at the same school until she retired from teaching. She also attended and graduated from James Monroe High School and St. John's University where she met her husband, Savino. They married and started a family.
Louise is survived by her husband, Savino Pascarella, of 72 years of marriage; 2 sons, Charles and his wife Marilyn and their 3 children: Jeffrey, Matthew, LeAnne; and Steven and his wife Casey and their children, Steven and Kelly; She also had two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Joseph.
She eventually retired and moved to Heritage Hills. Louise was a professional teacher until retirement, the consummate tourist, taking time to see this country and the world, and a great lover of family.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd from 4 - 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Funeral Mass is being offered on Thursday, April 3rd at 10 am St. Joseph's Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY followed by burial at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
