FISHKILL - Lucille Pragana, 81, a five year Fishkill resident, formerly of Yonkers, died at home on Thursday, April 21, 2011.
She was born in Yonkers on June 9, 1929. On August 27, 1960 in Ossining, Lucille married Manuel C. Pragana, who predeceased her on Septermber 21, 2008.
Throughout the late 1970s, she worked as a school crossing guard for the City of Yonkers. She attended senior centers in both Fishkill and Yonkers, where she enjoyed playing bingo. She frequently played lotto as well. Above all else, Lucille loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she cherished greatly.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Conte of Mt. Vernon; her two sons, David Fernandes of Wappingers Falls and Manny Pragana Jr. & his wife Amy of Hopewell Junction; eight grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; her sister, Alectra Consentino & her husband Nick of South Carolina; her sister-in-law, Joanne Pragana of Yonkers; also many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
Calling hours will be held from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26th at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27th at Fishkill Baptist Church, 107 Route 82, Fishkill with Pastor Howard Lawler officiating. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
