Wappingers Falls – Madeline "Maddy" Olivieri, 80, of Wappingers Falls, NY sadly died unexpectedly on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie surrounded by her family. Madeline was born on October 4, 1943, to Michael and Madeline (Ippolito) Volino in North Tarrytown, NY. On December 5, 1964, she married the love of her life, whom she met at age 13, Andrew Olivieri at Immaculate Conception in Sleepy Hollow. Andrew sadly predeceased her on April 27, 2022. Madeline was a Food Service Worker at Van Wyck Junior High School in the Wappingers Central School District for over 25 years and was everyone's favorite "Lunch Lady". She was an avid shopper - loved QVC, Amazon, and her scratch-off tickets. She had the best sense of humor - always singing, dancing, listening to music or watching her favorite game shows. Her extremely positive outlook on life and contagious laugh made everyone else laugh just hearing her. She loved to cook and spend time doting on her family and friends. If you knew Madeline, then you knew she loved angels, and her personal mantra was to stay tough and live life to the fullest. Madeline is survived by her adoring children Andrew "Sonny" Olivieri and his loving fiancée, Tammy Harmon of Fort Wayne, IN; Anne Marie "Dawdy" Zablocki and her loving husband, James of Wappingers Falls, NY; her loving nephew, Michael Todd whom she loved and raised like a son, and his loving wife, Cate; her "grandchildren" who were the light of her life, Evan whom she called her "Little Professor" and Zoe whom always cracked her up; her sister, Frances Alves and her husband, Tony; as well as her most helpful neighbor Brian, and many, many loving friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Madeline was predeceased by her sisters, Anna Volino and Marion Todd, whom she adored. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), or the American Juvenile Diabetes Association (www2.jdrf.org).
