Madlyn Ann Finnigan Schrott, 90, a 16 year resident of Fishkill, formerly of Cold Spring for 25 years, passed in the comfort of her home on February 2nd, 2014.
Madlyn was born March 19, 1923 in Peekskill, New York. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Henry Schrott of 62 years. She was a parishioner of the Assumption Church in Peekskill where they raised their four children. She was very active as a Girl Scout Leader and a Cub Scout Mom.
She was the daughter of Edward and Margaret Finnigan of Peekskill, graduated from Peekskill High School, and as a young woman worked in NYC.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Joseph and Janice Schrott of Nashville, TN; daughters MaryAnn and Herb Buchanan of Staatsburg, NY and Madlyn and Charles Mosco, of Fishkill, NY and Suzanne and Doug Belnap, of Durham, NC.
In addition to her children, she is survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers Edward, Thomas, Joseph, and her sister, Sr. Mary Edward.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs. Feb. 6th, 2014 at St. Mary Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY.
