Marceline D. "Marcy" Majcher, 80, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 38 years and formerly of Yonkers, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

The daughter of the late John and Catherine Bricker, she was born on March 19, 1931 in Yonkers. On November 22, 1958, she married Edward "Moe" Majcher, her best friend. Together, they ran the family business for a number of years. Mr. Majcher predeceased her on April 12, 1984.

Mrs. Majcher enjoyed gardening and had a love of animals. Her true companion was her precious dog Millie who will rest forever by her side. For many years, she held carnivals in her yard as a fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy.

She is survived by her daughters, Doreen Ruggiero and her husband Ralph of Wappingers Falls, and Diane Majcher of Hopewell Junction; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Peggy and Lee; and brothers, Roger, Jackie and Bill.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
