Poughkeepsie- Marcia Delphina Foster, a resident of Poughkeepsie, entered into eternal rest on April 19, 2022. She was 57.

Marcia was born in Jamaica on May 25, 1964, the daughter of Dolphy and Gloria (Pusey) Foster.

For ten and half years, Marcia worked as a caregiver for A.R.C in Poughkeepsie Greystone Programs as a Caregiver.

Alex shared his thoughts on his Mom: "Mommy. She doesn't like long talking – meaning, if she says something once, you better not have her repeating herself again. Mommy loves her oldies, always jamming while she is in the kitchen whether its cooking or making juice – especially her carrot juice which is a serious recipe, but most especially when she's baking (fruit cake, rum cake, toto, and her specialty, bread pudding). An early morning person, Mommy is up at the crack of dawn, cooking porridge for breakfast. No matter what the instance, she makes sure there is something in your stomach before you head out the door. Anything Mommy touches is Heaven sent. She wasn't strange to feeding others. When you came to Marci's house, you are automatically family!"

Marcia is survived by her children, Allison and Alex; her grandchildren, Paige and Paigtyn; sisters, Leonie, Dionne, Lovet, Dorrette Patricia and Avril Clarke; brothers, Lynval, Leaton, Errol, Sterrie. She is also survived by her Godaughter, LaToya , a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and her dearest friends Venessa, Jackie and Michael.

Marcia was predeceased by her parents Dolphy and Gloria.

Calling hours will be Saturday May 7, 2022, at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY from 11am-1pm. A service for Marcia will begin at 1pm in the funeral home.
