Marcia Mccusker's Obituary
Marcia McCusker, 93, of Fishkill, NY passed away on June 3, 2022 after a long illness.
Marcia was born on April 6, 1929 to Edmund and Gladys Taylor and grew up in Glenham, NY. On January 8, 1949 she married Joseph McCusker, who passed on October 9, 2010.
Throughout her years, she worked at several jobs including Texaco Research Center, Fishkill Elementary School as a teacher aide, and at local department stores. She was a talented seamstress, furniture refinisher, and "Do It Yourselfer" well before DIY was a trend.
Marcia is survived by her daughters: Marilyn McCusker (Greg Gonzalez) of Felton, CA, Constance Healy (Brian) of San Jose, CA and Janice Ballard of Fishkill, NY; grandchildren: Erin Ballard (Robert Campoy) and great grandson Reid of Boulder Creek, CA, Megan Healy of South Lake Tahoe, CA, and Sarah Healy of Ann Arbor, MI.
She was predeceased by her sister Alice Ferris; son-in-law Robert Ballard; and nephew Kurt Ferris.
In keeping with Marcia's wishes, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dutchess County SPCA.
