WAPPINGERS FALLS – Margaret E. "Peggy" Chudkosky, a lifelong Hudson Valley resident, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. She was 68.
Daughter of the late William J. and Dorothy E. (Mandigo) Speedling,

Peggy was born in Cold Spring on October 23, 1952 and graduated from Haldane High School in 1970. She resided in Cold Spring until moving to Wappingers Falls in 1988.

For many years, she worked as an account specialist for Digitech EMS Billing Service (Chappaqua). Her hobbies included gardening and fishing, but more than anything else, Peggy cherished spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Chudkosky, at home in Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Stephanie Marie Sheehan and Corey Walter Sheehan & his wife Kristen; her great-grandson, Gage; her brothers, Thomas Speedling & his wife Jill and Bill Speedling & his wife Louise; as well as many other loving relatives & friends.

Peggy was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Ann Nelson, as well as her son, Douglas C. Nelson.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 27 at Cold Spring Cemetery, 15-61 Peekskill Road, Cold Spring, NY.
