Obituary

Margaret DeBiase, 88, of Hopewell Junction and formerly of Yonkers, died on July 20, 2016 at Wingate at Dutchess.

Born in Yonkers on February 6, 1928, she was the daughter of Matthew and Mary Smith Vance. Margaret was employed as a teacher's assistant for the Yonkers School District for 30 years until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of the Daughters of Scotia and the Order of the Easter Star in Yonkers.

On December 7, 1963, Margaret married Frank DeBiase who predeceased her on September 20, 1989. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda and Bruce Smith of Hopewell Junction, Patricia and Mark Bax of Ithaca, and Deborah and David Little of Carlstadt, NJ; her granddaughters, Heather, Allison, Katie and Michelle; her great-granddaughter, Leighaire McLaughlin; her twin brother, Hugh Vance; her brother, Andrew Vance and his wife Dolores; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
