Margaret DeSa, 56, a resident of LaGrangeville since 1981 and formerly of Jamaica, Queens, died on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Frosinone, Italy on May 22, 1953, she was the daughter of Arcangelo and Piacentina Nardozi Taglienti.  She was employed as the Assistant Manager of the gift shop at Adams Fairacre Farms in Poughkeepsie for 18 years.  Margaret was a parishioner of Blessed Kateri Church in LaGrangeville.  She was a very active member of the LaGrange Soccer Club and also volunteered with the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation.

On April 20, 1974 at St. Pius Church in Jamaica, Margaret married Joseph DeSa who survives at home.  She is also survived by her children, Joseph A. DeSa and his wife, Laura of West Babylon, Tina Maria DeSa and her husband, Eric Bojarczuk of Stormville and Julie Rousseau and her husband, Ross of Harrison; her grandchildren, Sofia, Alex and Lilliana; her sisters, Gina Chiarlitti of Westbury and Santina Capoccia of Schenectady; her brothers, Lorenzo Taglienti of Little Neck, Antonio Taglienti of Florida and Tullio Taglienti of Farmingville; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister, Filomena Nardozi.

Callings hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by entombment in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
