LAGRANGEVILLE - Margaret E. Herrick, 89, a lifelong area resident, died on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Lutheran Care Center.
Born in Red Hook on May 16, 1926, she was the daughter of George and Leila Smith Veach. Margaret was employed as a real estate agent with Lois Rector in Poughkeepsie for many years and was also the owner and operator of the Art Depot in LaGrangeville. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church, and enjoyed genealogy, gardening and art. She was the author of a genealogy and history book.
On October 31, 1950 in Goshen, Margaret married Winfred C. Herrick who survives at home. They were predeceased by their daughter, Dale V. Herrick, on June 28, 2008.
Services will be private with burial in the family plot in Milan Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc.
