Margaret E. Hunt, “Evy”, 89, a lifelong resident of LaGrangeville , died on April 1, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Yonkers on August 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Hazel (Mateer) Welz. She worked for the LaGrange Post Office and was then a Technician for IBM for 15 years until her retirement.

Evy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lagrangeville where she taught Sunday school. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary for Lagrange Fire Co. and IBM Retirees Club.

She is survived by her children, Roxanne McCormack & her husband David of Wynantskill and Robert W. Sebeth of Lagrangeville; her stepdaughter, Judith Hoffman & her husband Herman; her stepson, Peter Hunt & his wife Jean; her stepdaughter-in-law, Donna Hunt; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Robert W. Sebeth in 1966 and her husband, Russell Hunt in 1995; her two brothers, Joseph and Jack Welz; her daughter, Betty Jean DeLease; her stepson, John Hunt; and her great-grandson Michael Garren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 6 at Lagrangeville Cemetery, 6 South Cross Road at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
