LMargaret G. Lewandowski, (Marge as she was lovingly called by those who knew her) a resident of Fishkill, NY, was called home by her heavenly father on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fishkill, NY. She was 96.
Daughter of the late Matthew and Genevieve (Trevazon) Filipovich, she was born in New York City on December 15, 1926, the youngest of ten children. She was predeceased by her nine older siblings.
On December 20, 1947, she married William F. Lewandowski. Prior to starting her family, Marge worked at CBS in Manhattan.
A parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, she was a devout Catholic. Marge loved to laugh and was a phenomenal cook; everyone loved her cooking and sought after her recipes. For many years, she volunteered at the former Highland Hospital in Beacon, where she volunteered in the coffee shop. She had a sparkle about her that all could see and it will be sorely missed.
She was predeceased by her husband, William, in 2008 and her daughter, Ann Macrillo, in 2015.
Survivors include her son, William Lewandowski & his wife Jackie of Spring Hill, FL; her daughter, Barbara Lewandowski of Fishkill; her son, John Lewandowski & his wife Barbara of Newark, VT; her son, Jim Lewandowski of Palm Coast, FL; her son-in-law, Christopher Macrillo of Poughquag; her grandchildren, Brian Lewandowski (Semaj), Courtney Bongard (E.J.), Christa Lewandowski, Lisa Lewandowski (Jeremy), Tara Amore (Michael), Michael Lewandowski (Sabrina), James Lewandowski, and Alan Macrillo; her great-grandchildren, William, Lucas, Logan, Evan, Cari, Noah, Shaun, Micah, Everleigh, and Marley. Marge also leaves behind her beloved grand-dog "Lyndie", who came to visit her on a daily basis.
