Obituary

SALT POINT - Margaret “Peggy” Rotundo, 56, an area resident for 25 years and formerly of Brooklyn, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center following a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born in Brooklyn on October 1, 1959, she was the daughter of Richard and Mary O’Neill Quinlan. Peggy was employed as a registered nurse at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
On April 16, 1978 in Brooklyn, Peggy married Alfred Rotundo who survives at home. She is also survived by her sons and their wives, Michael and Lupe Rotundo of Poughkeepsie, Nicholas and Lisa Rotundo of Fishkill; her daughter, Jaclyn Rotundo of Salt Point; her granddaughter, Samantha Rotundo; her sister, Mary Jo O’Brien of Valley Stream; her best friends, Kathy and Lucy; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
