Margaret Rose Ryan, daughter of the late James Joseph and Mary (Lovett) Sheils, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 85, in Deerfield Beach, Florida on November 7, 2025, surrounded by loving family. She was born on October 16, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York.
Cherished mother of Deidre (Paul) and the late Peter. Beloved grandmother of Brandon. Beloved sister of Dennis Sheils of Jacksonville, Florida.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Maureen Bowler and Noreen Sheils; brothers, Charlie Sheils and James Sheils; sister-in-law, Josephine Sheils and Mary Sheils; and brother-in-law James Bowler.
Margaret is also survived by her dear friend and caregiver, Rachelle, many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends in both the United States and Ireland.
Margaret was deeply loved by all who knew her and for her generosity, kindness and sassiness. She loved spending time with family, telling stories of her childhood, traveling, celebrating holidays, watching her Korean and British shows, and old movies, and spending time with her pets.
Princess Margaret Rose, as her family called her, was a wonderful, strong woman and will be missed immensely by all.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, INC. 1089 Main Street from 10am to 11am with a service beginning at 11am in the funeral home for both Margaret and her beloved son Peter who passed away in 2011. Interment to follow at St. Joachims Cemetery.
