BEACON – Margaret "Peggy" Santiago-Santana, a Beacon resident since 1997 and formerly of Yonkers, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. She was 68.
Daughter of the late William and Mary (Bromley) Doran, Peggy was born in Port Chester, NY on February 4, 1953. Her favorite hobby was playing various games & puzzles online.
Survivors include her children: Heather L. Bernier of Hopewell Junction, Michael J. Santiago & his wife Tonya of Warwick, and Jose Caraballo of New Jersey; her grandchildren: William, Austin, Zachary, Christopher, Michael Jr., and Bryce; her siblings: MaryEllen Guinan & her husband Thomas of The Villages, FL, William Doran of Bethel, CT, and Roberta DeGray & her husband Clyde of Seymour, CT; her longtime friend, Christina Dumont of Beacon; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends. Peggy also leaves behind her faithful companion pet Pomeranian, "Secret".
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13 and Thursday, October 14 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 15 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 469 North Street, Greenwich, CT. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 399 North Street, Greenwich, CT.
