Margarita Acosta, 80, passed away at home surrounded by her family on January 25, 2023. She was born in Cuba on February 22, 1942 to parents Alfredo and Leonore (Gonzalez) Hernandez. On December 2, 1961 in Havana, she married the love of her life Pablo Acosta. Pablo survives at home.
Margarita loved to read novels, listen to Latin music and dance, and she loved cooking delicious meals for her family. Spending time with her family meant everything to her, and she took pride in taking care of her home and taking care of all of her loved ones. She will be remembered as a truly kind soul.
In addition to her beloved husband Pablo, Margarita is survived by her 3 children: Maura Ronda, Juan Acosta and his wife Magdalena, and Jose' and his wife Orsola; her grandchildren: Nina, Prisilla, Jonah, Cristina and Michael Acosta, and Victoria and Joseph Ronda; her great grandchildren: Myles and Emma; and her sister Elena Hernandez.
Calling hours will take place on Sunday January 29th, 2023 from 2-5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday January 30th at 11:30 am at the funeral home, followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
