Margarita Guidos, a Beacon resident, died peacefully at home on Monday, January 7, 2013. She lived to be 100 years old.
Daughter of the late Fulgencio Rojas Escalante and Francisca Guidos, she was born in El Salvador on February 21, 1912. In 1970, she emigrated to the United States where she lived in Yonkers until moving to Beacon in 1999.
Margarita is survived by her daughter, Yolanda Molina & her husband Jose Antonio of Beacon; three granddaughters, Veronica Kelland & her husband Edward of Beacon, Yolanda Gago & her husband Johnny of Yonkers, and Lorena C. Bailey & her husband Roger of Maryland; her great-grandchildren, Kyle, Colby, Daphne, John Anthony, Andrew and Ava; her great-great granddaughter, Ayanna; and many nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives & friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Estanislao Hernandez, her parents, and two brothers, Victor & Carlos Guidos.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 10 at St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon. Interment will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery in Beacon.
