Obituary

Marguerite (Meg) Henrich, a resident of Highland, NY and previously from Ohio and Hopewell Jct., NY, passed away on January 12, 2024, at home surrounded by family. She was 80 years old.

Meg was born on August 1, 1943, the oldest daughter of the late Edward John Dietz and Alice (Wortman) Dietz. She married Thomas W. Henrich on November 11, 1961.
Meg's love for her family and friends shined in everything she did. She enjoyed traveling, bowling and crafts. She was inducted in the local Hall of Fame for her meritorious service to the sport of bowling. She was also an honorary member of Lost Wheels Motorcycle Club.

Meg was a talented artist and painted beautiful ceramic pieces that are treasured by her family. She lovingly crocheted over 70 Christmas stockings for her family and many baby blankets for anyone that asked. She also enjoyed making exquisite cards, sharing this hobby with her sister Darlene. She was committed to community service and taught her family that all people had worth and deserved respect, regardless of their situation or station in life.

She is survived by a loving family: her daughter Barbara (Peter) Giangaspro of Highland, NY; daughter Beth Henrich of Hopewell Jct., NY; son Thomas (Lori) Henrich of Shoreline, WA; grandchildren Kris (Nicoletta) Crogan; Alex (Janine) Crogan; Sarah Henrich; Allison Henrich; Emily Giangaspro; Nicole (Andrew) Mills; and great grandchildren Carter Giangaspro-Felix; Nella Giangaspro; and Lily Crogan. She is also survived by her brother Norman Hagerty; sister Darlene (Jeff) Williams; sister-in-laws Phyllis Dietz, Donna Dietz, Dolores Nelson, Carol Muhlbach, Sylvia (Tim) Wolff, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her brothers Carl Dietz and Lenny Dietz.
