LaGrangeville – Marguerite Helen Streib, 86, an area resident since 1987 and formerly of Harrison, died on February 22, 2022 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital.

Born in Mount Kisco on July 6, 1935, she was the daughter of John Thomas and Marguerite Helena (Summers) St. John. Marguerite had been employed as an executive secretary for many years, retiring from the Westchester County School System. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Poughkeepsie.

In 1964 in Scarsdale, Marguerite married Alexander Streib who predeceased her on May 18, 2011. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Marguerite Streib-Tanga on November 24, 2001.

Marguerite is survived by her son, Alexander J. Streib and his wife Andrea; her grandson, Luke Tanga; her sister, Trudy Maxey; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service on Monday at 10am at the funeral home followed by interment in Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
