POUGHKEEPSIE - Maria Olivieri, 88, an area resident for 3 years, died peacefully on March 11, 2025 at home. She previously lived in Florida.

Born in Italy on December 3, 1936, Maria was the daughter of the late Emilio and Dora (Martinelli) Giannasca. Maria was predeceased by her husband, Mario Olivieri in 1977.

She is survived by her children, Margherita Olivieri, Mario Franco Olivieri and his wife Lauren, and Dora Ianora and her husband Tommy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Elena and Anna; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Saturday, March 15th from 9:30 - 10 :30 am. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale.
