FISHKILL – Maria Eugenia Rodriguez, 87, a resident of Fishkill since 2002, died on December 28, 2020. She previously lived in the Bronx up until 19 years ago.

Born on November 17, 1933 in Lajas, Puerto Rico, Mary was the daughter of the late Dionisio Laboy and Adelaida Seda. On March 4, 1967 at St. Athanasius in the Bronx, she married Ramon Luciano Rodriguez who predeceased her in 1992.

Mary was affectionately called Tita by all who loved her. She is survived by her children, Marilyn Sepulveda of Fishkill, Maria Serrano of East Fishkill, Damaris Rodriguez of Los Angeles, CA, and Dennis Rodriguez of Denver, CO; her grandchildren, Robert Sepulveda, Emily Sepulveda, Zoe Sepulveda, Amanda Serrano, Julian Serrano, Daniel Serrano, Sofia Rodriguez, and Olivia Rodriguez; her brother, Wilson Laboy; and her beloved companion Luna.

Traveling to visit her family was what she loved most.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 12 - 4 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required. Since capacity may be limited, all attendees should be prepared for potential extended waiting periods.
