Maria Mildred Siani, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 2001, formerly of Westchester County and New York City, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, December 11, 2025. She was 67.

Daughter of the late Narciso and Julia (Nuñez) Bonilla, she was born on June 28, 1958 and was raised in Manhattan.

Maria graduated from nursing school and dedicated her career to health care as a Licensed Practical Nurse. For many years, she worked in the gastroenterology department at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow.

She enjoyed listening to music of all genres, but especially loved dancing to salsa. Her other hobbies included botany and gardening. More than anything else, however, Maria cherished enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

On September 21, 2002, she married Bruno Siani in White Plains. Bruno survives at home in Fishkill.

Additional survivors include her daughter, Daiva Morales & her husband José of Meriden, CT; her daughter, Crystal Hernandez of Tarrytown; her stepdaughter, Jaime Siani of White Plains; her grandchildren: Davia Schmeer & her husband Alfred, Javian Morales, Xavier Hernandez, and Maribel Hernandez; her great-grandson, Miles Schmeer; her brother, Amilcar Bonilla & his wife Silvia; her sister, Maria Migdalia Bautista; as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless other loving relatives & friends.

Maria also leaves behind her faithful toy poodle companion, Max.

She was predeceased by her parents as well as her son-in-law, Rafael "Macho" Hernandez.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8pm on Thursday, December 18 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A service will be conducted at the funeral home at 10am on Friday, December 19, followed by entombment in the Community Mausoleum at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
