WAPPINGERS FALLS – Mariam J. Fusco, 81, of Wappingers Falls and formerly of Columbus, Ohio, died on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at home.
Born in Cadiz, OH on May 11, 1930, she was the daughter of Edgar and Willa Sidebottom Prather. On October 3, 1964 in Columbus, OH, she married Lewis P. Fusco. Mr. Fusco survives at home.
Mariam served our country in the United States Air Force and was a musician who performed with the Mariam Prather Trio.
In addition to her husband, Mariam is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Bennett and her husband James of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Brooke Walsh and Joseph McGuire; her great-granddaughter, Karen Hope Walsh; and her brother, James Prather of Florida.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery with military honors.
