MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Marian M. Cole, 85, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and formerly of Poughquag, died on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at her daughter Kelly's residence in Myrtle Beach after a long illness, with her daughters Kelly and Cindy by her side.
Born on October 22, 1925 in Fairfield, CT, she was the daughter of Granville (Jack) and Marian Booth Cole.
Marian was predeceased by her daughter Susan Marie Mason and son-in-law Jack. She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Gangloff of Connecticut and Dorothy Marcum of Indiana; daughters, Penny Sawner (Jim) of Poughquag, Debbie Brunow (Tom) of St. Pete, FL, Cindy Carroll (Brian) of Palm Coast,
FL and Kelly Kindleburg (Dave) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and son, Roger Cole (Wendy) of Lutz, FL. She was a loving grandmother to Matthew Mason of FL and Jimmy Sawner of Poughquag. Marian will truly be missed by family, long time companion Charley Chase and all the friends she met on her journey through life.
Marian spent most of her life in Patterson and Poughquag and her wish was to return to New York. She was cremated at her request and her remains will be buried in Carmel with her father after a small private ceremony.
