Mariana Rios Pineda, 91, a resident of Newburgh since 1980 and formerly of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Honduras on June 4, 1921, she was the daughter of Santos Rios and Victoria Pineda. Mariana attended St. Patrick's Church in Newburgh and was extremely devoted to God and her family.

Mariana is survived by her son, Pedro Rios and his wife, Carmela of Newburgh; her grandchildren, Daniel and Melissa Rios, Pedro Rios and Carmen and Kevin Jacobs; and her great-grandchildren, Deanna, Vanessa, Christopher and Jonathan Jacobs, Siara, Michaela, Nicholas and Jaden Rios, Brandon, Samantha and Matthew Rios. She was predeceased by her son, Daniel Rios.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in Wallkill Valley Cemetery in Walden.
