Marie C. Cioffi, 87, a resident of Tamarack, FL since 1992 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, FL.
Born on December 26, 1922 in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Felice and Teresa Amoroso Gallo. She had worked as a bookbinder for the Bookbinders Union in New York City for many years.
On May 6, 1950 in Manhattan, Marie married Albert N. Cioffi who died in 1969. She is survived by her children, Nicholas Cioffi and his wife Andrea of Parkland, FL and Deborah Prunella and her husband Ralph of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholas Cioffi and Dawn Marie Ricciardi; and her great-grandchildren, Caleb Cioffi and Joseph Ricciardi.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and interment will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
