Marie Genevieve Kravic, 66, a resident of Stormville for 32 years and formerly of Schenectady, died on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the Wingate at Dutchess.

Marie was born in Amsterdam, NY on March 12, 1943.  She was one of the founders and the treasurer of the Southern Dutchess Horse & Pony Association.

On August 19, 1977 in Princetown, NY, she married John M. Kravic, Sr. who survives at home.  She is also survived by her children, Jacqueline Torino and her husband, Dean of Pleasant Valley and Brian Kravic of Stormville; her stepchildren, John M. Kravic, Jr. and his wife, Jeanette of Milan, Andrew Kravic of Port St. Lucie, FL and Athena Conrad and her husband, Gregory of Hopewell Junction; her grandson, Logan Torino; and her step-grandchildren, Jason Gontz, John M. Kravic, III, James Kravic and Johanna Kravic.

Callings hours will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
