HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Marie O'Keefe, 78, an area resident since 1978, died peacefully at home on July 28, 2026. She previously lived in Queens.

Born in New York City on October 6, 1947, Marie was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Florence (DePasquale) Ancona. On November 22, 1969, Marie married Robert "Bob" O'Keefe who predeceased her in 2002 after 33 years of marriage.

For many years, Marie was actively involved with the East Fishkill Soccer Club, serving as both secretary and registrar. She also volunteered at the East Fishkill Library. Above all, Marie found her greatest joy in raising her children and treasured every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her children, Susan and her husband Ian of Hopewell Junction, Michael of Milford, PA, and Robert and his wife Melanie of Washingtonville; her grandchildren, Rachele and her fiancé Doug, Thomas, Samantha, Daniel, Matthew, and Benjamin; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was also predeceased by her siblings, Richard and Arlene; and her son-in-law, Sean.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 31st from 4 - 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial is being offered on Saturday, August 1st at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
