Marie Pastorini, 78, of Fishkill, NY passed away peacefully with her husband, son and daughter-in-law by her side on December 20, 2023 after a hard-fought battle with an aggressive form of ALS. Originally born in Brooklyn, Marie is survived by her devoted husband, Peter Pastorini, whom she was married to for 47 years; her son Paul Pastorini, whom she was so very proud of; her daughter-in-law Heather Pastorini; her two beloved grandchildren, Gabriella Pastorini and Madison Pastorini, who were the apples of her eye; her brother Joseph Agarenzo and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her father and mother, Joseph and Lucia Agarenzo; and her five additional siblings Mike Agarenzo, Laura Verengia, Rocco Agarenzo, Rose Agarenzo and Paul Agarenzo. Marie had a prior career working for Aetna and Sears but her most fulfilling "work" was being a mother to her only son. A Catholic memorial mass will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 11:30am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY. Marie and her husband have been devoted parishioners for over 40 years at the church. The mass will immediately be followed by a gathering to celebrate Marie's life at a favorite restaurant of hers, Eleven 11, 1111 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the ALS United NY Chapter (https://als-ny.org). ALS United has supported Marie and her loved ones through this horrific, incurable disease. We pray a cure will one day be found. For online tributes, please visit Marie's Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com. Gone but will never be forgotten. Forever in our hearts.
