MARIE FRANCES VINCENT July 5, 1931 - January 25, 2018
Daughter of Edward & Ella May Vincent, she was born in Lagrangeville, NY were she resided for many years. She was a graduate of Arlington High School. She worked as a Bookkeeper for many years. She came to the conclusion that this was not for her as it was very stifling for her. She took a 360 and decided to become an over the road tractor trailer driver. She purchased her own Peterbult truck and happily went on her way. She took pride in her driving abilities and would still be driving had she not been forced to retire for medical reasons. You could say she was a female pioneer of her time.
She died peacefully, quietly and with dignity surrounded by family and friends. She's more than happy driving that Peterbuilt on the highway to heaven.
Marie detested the cold weather and spent her winters in Lake City, Florida were she was involved in many organizations. She was an active member of the Moose Lodge, Chapter 1399, and a Graduate of the College of Regents for the Moose Lodge. Being a member of the Lodge was her favorite as well as the many things that involved Nascar and Football, which she was an avid fan of. She was also an avid bowler and bingo player. She managed to keep herself extremely busy. She was a previous member of the VFW the Elks Club and Lagrangeville Ladies Aux., as well as the American Legion Auxilary.
When in Florida, she attended Mikesville, Fort White Presbyterian Church, and when in New York she attended Freedom Plains Presbyterian Church where she was a former member.
