Marietta Rhodes Picard
October 8, 1950 - February 23, 2026

Marietta Rhodes Picard of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away peacefully at her home on February 23, 2026. She was 75 years old.

Born on October 8, 1950, Marietta was the daughter of Myron Rhodes and Caroline Riggs. She graduated from Cornwall High School in 1968, carrying with her fond memories.

On October 8, 1989, she married the love of her life, Donald Picard. Together they built a life centered on devotion and companionship. Marietta's favorite place was where Don was. It didn't matter if they were out shopping, enjoying time together, or simply sharing everyday moments. She also had a special love for anything related to Elvis Presley, whose music brought her joy.

Marietta is survived by her daughters, Kristena Thompson (Adam) of Lincolnton, NC and Kerry Dunleavy (Brett) of Charlotte, NC. She was a grandmother to Matthew, Jacob, Hannah, and Abigail Thompson, and to Dara and Brayden Dunleavy. She was blessed with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Gideon, and Shiloh Thompson of Mooresville, NC.

She is also survived by her sister, Myra Jean (Claude) who could make her laugh harder than anyone in this world! Her dear friend Irene Mahoney (Jimmy) who is like family and talked to her everyday, Theresa Spagnoli Thomas (Robert) and Gabrielle Caston Mains (Gary) as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Marietta was predeceased by her father, Myron Rhodes; her mother, Caroline Riggs; her brothers, William Rhodes and Kenneth Rhodes.

Service to be announced at a later date.
