POUGHKEEPSIE – Marilyn A. Rzemieniewski, 85, died on June 18, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born on March 21, 1938 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of George and Irene (Schulz) Salvagio. She was the owner and operator of Beekman Taxi and Limousine Service.
A long-time resident of the Town of Beekman, Marilyn and Robert spent many years as snowbirds, traveling to their winter home in Fort Myers, FL. Thirteen years ago, they made Fort Myers their year-round residence until moving back to Poughkeepsie in October. Marilyn loved the beach, and enjoyed collecting shells that she used in craft projects. She also enjoyed hummingbirds, gardening and playing POGO online, but more than anything, she loved her grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert Rzemieniewski; her children and their spouses, Michael and Maria Donaldson, Donna Kidd, Donna Viggiani, Teresa and Ralph Watkins, Barbara Ann and Brian Ashley, Kim Boisson, Jerry and Jenny Rzemieniewski, and Blake and Robin Rzemieniewski; her daughter-in-law, Judee Rzemieniewski; her siblings, Joan Pallotto, and Robert Salvagio and his wife, Pat; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Rzemieniewski; her sons-in-law, Rick Kidd and Gary Viggiani; and her brother-in-law, Andrew Pallotto.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 12-3pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:30pm.
