Obituary

Mario Parrinello, 84, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 26 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in New York City on March 3, 1927, he was the son of Frank and Nancy Anselmo Parrinello. He served in the US Army during World War II and was employed as a foreman for the New York City Water Department. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
On October 21, 1951 in New York City, Mario married Emilia DeNardo who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Frank Parrinello and his wife Susan of Fishkill; his son-in-law, Michael Diaz of Hopewell Junction; his brother, Frank George Parrinello of West Germany; his grandchildren, Steven and Christopher Parrinello, Michael Diaz, Michelle and Sean Pineiro; and his great-grandchildren, Rylee, Joseph, Samara, Isabella and Michael. He was predeceased by his daughter Adele Diaz in 1996, and his brothers, Anthony and Albert Parrinello.
Calling hours will be on Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley with military honors.
