Obituary

Mauro Rizzi, 67, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1972 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Friday, October 24, 2014 at his home.
Born in the Bronx on December 16, 1946, he was the son of Angelo and Marie Desario Rizzi. Mauro was a self-employed furniture specialist. He was a member of Joe DiMaggio Lodge #2248, Sons of Italy and the Green Haven Rod & Gun Club.
On August 6, 1966 in the Bronx, Mauro married Frances Geraci who survives at home. Fran was employed by the Wappingers Central School District for 30 years. He is also survived by his children, Frank Rizzi and his wife Elizabeth of Wappingers Falls, Angela Rizzi of Wingdale, Christina Zitz and her husband Peter of Hopewell Junction; his grandchildren, Dominic, Jarrod and Matteo Rizzi, Antonia and Gianna Morales, Julien and Olivia Zitz; and his brothers, Fortunato Rizzi of Rhinebeck and Paul Rizzi of Red Hook.
Calling hours will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm including a funeral service at 7pm. Private interment will be in St. Denis Cemetery.
