Mark E. Barone, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1997, formerly of Mount Kisco and Yonkers, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 50.
He was born in the Bronx on September 15, 1963. Mark worked in the food service industry for his entire career, and was currently employed by Culinart, Inc. as food service manager at Trinity-Pawling School. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping & fishing. Above all else, he cherished time spent with his wife and three children, along with other family members.
In 1987, he married Mary Ann Cioppa at St. John's Church in Yonkers. Mary Ann survives at home along with their children, Michael, Joseph, and Julianna.
Mark is also survived by his brother, Robert Barone & his wife Sheree of Yonkers; his brother, Steven Barone & his wife Karen of Yonkers; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diana Barone of Yonkers, Ernie & Ellie Cioppa of Hopewell Junction, and Ciro & Jean Cioppa of Yonkers; his step-sisters, Silvana Milizia & her husband Ralph of Yonkers and Ornella Sicilia & her husband Sandro of Yonkers; also many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 3 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 4 at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, Lagrangeville. Interment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery in Hopewell Junction.
