Mark Edward Roberts, 55, a Hopewell Junction resident since 2000 and formerly of Greenpoint Brooklyn, passed away on May 17, 2015 at home with his family at his bedside after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Mark was born on October 31, 1959 in Brooklyn to George and Maryann Mone Roberts. On September 28, 1985, he married Elizabeth “Liz” Cavlin at St. Cecelia’s Church in Brooklyn.

Mark was a Certified Facilities Manager at King and Spalding in Manhattan and served as President of the IFMA, the International Facilities Managers Association for a period of time during his 19 year stay. He was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Wappingers Falls. Mark loved music and reading.

In addition to his wife of almost 30 years, he is survived by his son, Christopher Roberts at home; his brothers, Mathias Roberts and his wife Diane of Manhasset and Patrick Walsh and his wife Karen of Greenpoint; his sister in law, Margaret Last and her husband Kevin; several nieces and nephews, especially his Godchildren, Mathias Roberts, Jr. and Luke Walsh; and his many uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10am am at St. Mary’s, Our Lady of the Falls, Convent Ave., Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
