Mark T. Trifilo, a resident of Sullivan County for 25 years, formerly of Dutchess County, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 following complications from cardiac arrest. He was 60.
Born on December 18, 1962, he was raised in Beacon, NY, where he attended St. John Elementary School and later graduated from Beacon High School. For many years, Mark owned & operated an independent trucking company.
He was a motorcycle enthusiast and avid outdoorsman whose hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, metal-detecting, and agriculture. Mark loved horseracing and for some time he worked at the Monticello Raceway.
On July 15, 2000, he married Lee Ann Hinkley at St. John The Evangelist Church in Beacon. Lee Ann survives at home in Livingston Manor.
Additional survivors include three children: Melissa Trifilo, Marc Trifilo, and Nakita Trifilo; his father, Eugene T. Trifilo; his siblings, Eugene J. Trifilo and Staci Trifilo; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
Mark was predeceased by his mother, Sandra (Murphy) Trifilo, in 2017; as well as his brother, Frank Trifilo, in 2008.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 21 at St. John The Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon, NY 12508.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help offset the cost of his children's education.
