MASON, OH – Marlene Teresa Cleary, 80, a resident of Mason, OH for the last 3 years, died on November 2, 2021 at the Artis Senior Living Center in Mason, OH. She previously lived in Hyde Park, NY and Flagler Beach, FL.
Born in New York, NY on January 5, 1941, Marlene was the daughter of the late Arturo and Antoinette (Briganti) Leonardi. She worked as an office manager and director of sales for SGS Thompson in Poughkeepsie until her retirement.
Marlene is survived by her children, Terry Chanatry and her husband Michael of Mason, OH, John Casey and his wife Vicki of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Lynn Sims of White Plains, NY; her grandchildren, Jason Harrison of Beacon, NY, Kelly Wright and her husband William of Westchester, OH, Michael Chanatry and his wife Autumn of Dublin, OH, Tara Casey of Poughkeepsie, NY, Casey Chanatry of Dayton, OH, William Chanatry of Blue Ash, OH, John Thomas Casey of Poughkeepsie, Adam Sims of White Plains, NY, and Brody Sims of White Plains, NY; and her great-granddaughter, Annabelle Wright of Westchester, OH. In addition to her parents, Marlene was also predeceased by her first husband, John T. Casey in 1969; her second husband, Robert Cleary in 2012; and her sister, Lucy Harnett.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 – 5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
