FISHKILL – Marta Elisa Peralta, an area resident for more than three years and formerly of Tela Atlantida, Honduras, died on July 7, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Honduras on May 20, 1944, she was the daughter of Bernaroino Oliva and Maria Elisa Peralta. "Mami" Marta dedicated her life to raising her twelve children. She enjoyed needpoint, painting, fishing, spiritual music, dancing, swimming, playing Powerball, and flowers.

"Mami" Marta is survived by her children, Yolany Zelaya and her husband John Skroce, Yessenia Zelaya, Yaleni Rivera and her husband Oscar Rivera, Hector Zelaya and his wife Sandra Zelaya, Wilmer Zelaya, Sara Zelaya and husband Jorge Sagastume, Selvin Zelaya, Jacqueline Zelaya, Dario Zelaya, and Vidalina Zelaya; her grandchildren, Pamela Aquino-Barahona and her husband Enly Aquino, Ivania Zelaya, Wilmer Zelaya Jr., Kevin Zelaya, Jaret Zelaya, Carolyn Oseguera, Kaylee Oseguera, Jorge Oseguera, Paola Oseguera, Dario Oseguera Jr., Javier Oseguera, Daylin Zelaya, Ariana Zelaya, Adriana Zelaya, Richard Oseguera and Adrian Oseguera; her great-granddaughter, Sophia Aquino; and her siblings, Juan Peralta, Juana Peralta, Rosario Peralta, Maria T. Peralta, Santos Juarez, Soledad Peralta, Blanca Peralta and Emelda Peralta. She was predeceased by her husband, Ramon Zelaya; her son, Bladimir Zelaya; her daughter, Marilia Zelaya Peralta; and her brother, Antonio Oliva Peralta.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 1-4pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The funeral service will follow at 4pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10 am at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
